Discover The Premier Approach To Fixing Elbow Pain!
What Is Elbow Pain?
Elbow pain is a common issue that can arise from various causes, including injuries, inflammation, and acute trauma. You may have left elbow pain, right elbow pain or pain in both elbows. It may affect you when you’re lifting something, straightening your arm or bending your arm, and the pain may be sharp or dull. Most cases of elbow pain come from inflamed or strained soft tissues like your tendons. Certain medical conditions, injuries, and scar tissue can also cause pain and stiffness in your elbow joint and the muscles and soft tissues surrounding it. The most common conditions that can cause inflammation in the elbow are tendinitis or bursitis, however, we also see people who have sustained injuries to their elbow through playing sports.
What Are The Symptoms?
The most common symptoms of elbow pain include tenderness or swelling around the elbow, making it painful to touch or apply pressure. Additionally, the pain may worsen with specific movements, such as bending or straightening the arm, lifting objects, or gripping something tightly. In some cases, you might notice stiffness or a reduced range of motion, making it difficult to fully extend or flex the elbow. If the pain is related to nerve compression, such as in cubital tunnel syndrome, you may experience numbness or tingling in the fingers. These symptoms can significantly impact daily activities, making it challenging to perform tasks that involve repetitive arm movements, lifting, or even simple actions like typing or writing.
